The Football Facilities
The FootballCV Academy opened in 2007 and was based at Nene Park, also previously home to Rushden & Diamonds FC, for four years.
In 2011 the Academy moved to the brand new purpose built facility at Steel Park, also home to Corby Town FC.
In 2015 the Academy moved to the newly built £5.5m development at Borderville Sports Complex in Stamford.
Borderville Sports Complex - Stamford
Academy players will play matches at the brand new 2,000 capacity stadium with training on the floodlit full size 3G all-weather pitch and grass training pitches.
The Centre also boasts a sports hall, a fully equipped gymnasium, dressing rooms, medical room, canteen and classrooms. The facilities were only opened in late 2014 and allows the Academy to increase its intake of students each year following high demand in recent years.
At the end of each season the Academy has held its final Showcase Match and Presentations at some of the top stadiums in the UK including The Hawthorns (West Bromwich Albion), Ricoh Arena (Coventry City) and most recently at the King Power Stadium, home of PL Champions Leicester City.
St Georges Park – Burton
The Footballcv Academy has held many events and training sessions at St Georges Park since it opened in 2012, each season seeing the Academy students train at the FA’s National Centre.
Set in the National Forest, in 330 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland, the centre is also the training base for the 24 England teams. It includes a multipurpose indoor sports hall, 11 full size outdoor pitches, one elite DESSO training pitch which is an exact replica of Wembley and two hotels.
