Academy Returns With Busy Week
The Reds were straight back into training this afternoon, as they prepare for an away clash with Chasetown in the Football Conference Youth Alliance Midland Division on Wednesday. This will be the Academy’s sixth fixture in this competition, and will no doubt be looking to build on the 2-1 win against Coalville Town in their previous fixture.
The squad will also return to the Ricoh Arena when they take on Burton Albion, for their second fixture at the 32,000 seater stadium. The tie will only be both sides second in the Central Conference Reserve League, as both teams look for their first points of the season.
The Reds will round off the week with a home tie in the United Counties Under 21 League, on Saturday morning. The Academy will meet Wootton Blue Cross, at the Vic Couzens Stadium which is also home to AFC Stamford at 11am. These two sides met recently as they shared the points, following a 2-2 draw.
