“Our main aim is to provide an opportunity for students to gain a superior knowledge of the sport and to help take their game to the next level. Initially, this will take the form of our grassroots coaching programme and, once established, we will deliver development camps across the region.

“We will also be working to develop local coaches with some of our UEFA-qualified coaches being based at the Academy to ensure the foundations are laid and a structure is in place for years to come.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for all parties and we are looking forward to working closely with SRS Sports to deliver it.”

“Utilising best international practices, we will be working hard to deliver on a structure with FCV coaches stationed in Mumbai and to lead on player development across Maharashtra.
