The Academy is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and, to mark the occasion, we've frozen our fees for a third consecutive year.
We are pleased to confirm that the cost of attending our full-time programme will remain at £20,995 for UK/EU students and £25,995 for international students for 2017/18.
What's more, new for this year, our full-time and short course players will be competing in the Midlands Under-21 league, and they will also be assured of a place at our popular half-term camps at a special rate, in addition to all the usual great benefits students enjoy.
It's hard to believe this September will mark a decade since Manchester United winger Ashley Young opened the UK's first private football academy in Northamptonshire, and this year will be our biggest year yet.
In the last 10 years, the Academy has been attended by more than 1,000 players from six continents around the world – 93 per cent of these who have graduated from our full-time course are now playing at a higher level. More than 50 scouts from Premier League, English Football League clubs and non-league scouts have watched Academy players in this time and we are fortunate to have had guest coaching sessions delivered by the likes of current Scotland manager Gordon Strachan and former Sunderland, AEK Athens and Real Betis head coach, Gus Poyet, who is presently in charge of Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League.
The world of football education and player development is a very different place to where we were when we started out in 1997 and over the course of the next nine months, the Academy will be rebranded as the FCV International Football Academy to reflect our growing global appeal, with further exciting news on our first overseas base to be announced in the spring.
